The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) lashed out at a UN human rights resolution condemning its human rights abuses, the official KCNA said on Monday.

The DPRK "resolutely and categorically rejects such 'resolution' cooked up by the charlatans keen to selectively pull up those countries antagonized by their master, while keeping mum about his human rights abuses in Iraq and Afghanistan," a spokesman for the Foreign Ministry said.

The resolution adopted at the 10th meeting of the UN Human Rights Council was aimed at achieving a sinister political aim, he said, adding that the DPRK opposed the attempt to breach its sovereignty under the name of human rights.
