As a member of the multi-ethnic Chinese nation, the Tibetan ethnic group has lived on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, known as "the Roof of the World" for generations.For quite a long time, the plateau has attracted the world for its marvelous natural scenery and unique Tibetan folklores, offering a steady flow of sources for artistic inspiration and adequate imagination space for artistic creation. In history, Tibet once experienced a period under the feudal serfdom, a society even darker than Mid-ages Europe. In 1959, in the course of launching a democratic reform, Tibet abolished the theocratic feudal system. As a result, Tibet embarked on the path of frog-leap development.
