Eleven years have passed since the 9/11 Incident, but is the United States safer? It seems the answer is not optimistic.
Recently, discussions regarding the 9/11 museum attract much attention.
Due to a financial dispute, the construction of the museum delayed several months. Ultimately, the foundation in charge of the construction of the museum and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey reached an agreement to restart the suspended construction of the museum.
However, problems still have not been all solved. World Trade Center Memorial Foundation predicts that after National 9/11 Memorial and the museum open to the public, an expenditure of 60 million U.S. dollars per year will be generated, and only the item of the personal security will cost 12 million U.S. dollars. The conclusion made by the foundation is that: they are afraid this project will turn into a target of terrorist attacks.
It seems that even if 9/11 is turning into an ordinary day and Bin Laden has been killed, American people still do not feel safe. Their worry is reasonable.
