SYDNEY, Nov. 2 (Xinhua) -- The British royals Prince Charles and his wife Camilla will visit Papua New Guinea (PNG) on Saturday as part of a two-week tour of PNG, Australia and New Zealand to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II's diamond jubilee, Australian media reported on Friday.
The royal couple will depart for Australia on Monday after they complete their three-day tour of PNG.
The will visit five states in their six-day tour of Australia before continuing their journey to New Zealand.
After months of preparation, the tour has recently been threatened by a group of PNG landowners who told local media they would march on Jackson's international airport to disrupt the visit, as they protested over a compensation dispute with the government.
Both PNG Prime Minister Peter O'Neill and the police have urged the landowners not to disrupt the event and assured that the royal visit is on track.
