8.2-magnitude quake hits waters of Okhotsk-CENC

BEIJING, May 24 (Xinhua) -- A 8.2-magnitude quake jolted waters of the Sea of Okhotsk at 1:44 p.m. Friday Beijing Time, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.

The epicenter, with a depth of 600 km, was monitored at 54.9 degrees north latitude and 153.3 degrees east longitude, the center said.
