TUNIS, July 5 (Xinhua) -- Tunisia's ruling Islamic party Ennahdha has condemned the ouster of Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi as well as the arrest of Muslim Brotherhood's leading figures.

In a statement released on Thursday evening, Ennahdha condemned the ouster of "the first democratically elected Egyptian president. "

Ennahdha disapproved the arrest of leading Muslim Brotherhood figures, adding that "the coup d'etat will reinforce the division among the Egyptian people."

Also on Thursday, visiting French President Francois Hollande said in Tunis that "Morsi's ouster from power signifies the failure of Egypt's transitional process."
