6.2-magnitude quake hits Vanuatu -- USGS

HONG KONG, July 26 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale jolted Vanuatu at 15:07:17 Hong Kong Time (07:07: 17 GMT) on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 135.50 km, was initially determined to be at 15.3619 degrees south latitude and 167.5844 degrees east longitude.
