KUALA LUMPUR, March 15 -- "Please return home soon, MH370!," "Keep our faith," "We are waiting for you," these and other messages, written by people of various nationalities and in different languages on the three huge white screens at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, all conveyed the same wish--the early safe return of the missing Malaysian flight MH370.

The three screens, with the words "Have hope," "Please share our prayers for MH 370" and "MH370" written in colorful bold letters in the center, were almost full. Yet late comers are still trying to put in a few words of good wishes even if in very small letters.

A Kuala Lumpur resident wrote on the screen "Never lose hope, families and friends of those onboard MH370, We pray for you all." After that she began to read all the good wishes and took photos with her cellphone. She told Xinhua reporters that her friends were onboard the missing jet and she hoped all the good wishes would come true.

A group of students from Malaysia University of Technology came all the way from their campus some 300 km away to the airport to pray for those onboard the missing plane. Led by their teacher Ms. Su, they stood in silent prayer in front of the screens. Moved by the scene, many local residents and tourists joined them in the prayer.

Ms. Su told Xinhua reporters that this is an agonizing moment for all, especially for the passengers' families. "We are here praying for everyone onboard of MH370. Now that many countries have joined forces, putting together information from all sources will help the search and rescue mission," she said.

Similar prayers have been held elsewhere in Malaysia. In Pavilion, a famous shopping center in the capital Kuala Lumpur, a good-wish wall, covered with wish cards, can be found near its entrance. From time to time, shoppers would stop to take a close look at the cards and take a new card from volunteers, then write their own wishes on the card and carefully tie it on the wall.

"Expecting miracles!" "Return home!" "Pray for all!" these cards convey the same message: Wish Flight MH370 an early safe return!

A Chinese tourist told Xinhua reporters that the disappearance of Flight MH370 caused great worries not only among the Chinese but also the local Malaysians he met over the past few days.

From the wish cards on the wall, he was not only deeply moved but also felt strongly the good things in the human nature, kindness, care and great concern from the bottom of people's heart.

Two air stewardesses from the Malaysian Airlines were among the good wishers. They took a long time to write down their good wishes . One of them said they can fully understand the feelings of the families of passengers on the missing plane and wish everybody onboard safe return.

Similar scene could be found in Farenheit88 shopping mall, just a block away from Pavilion, Strings of wish cards, hung from a medium-height tree, were fluttering in the wind as if in a fond gesture to call back the missing jetliner.

Ms. Li, one of the volunteers said though she was tired after working here for three days, distributing wish cards, she was very pleased with she had done and wished that someday the passengers on the missing flight could see those cards, which would be the best presents for their homecoming.

In events organized by the Chinese students and employees of the Chinese enterprises in Malaysia, people wrote down their good wishes on long banners, lit candles and flew Kongming Lanterns, a traditional lantern that would ascend to the sky once lighted in the hope that flight MH370 would come home soon.
