
ZAGREB, March 11 (Xinhua) -- Croatia and Azerbaijan on Monday signed a presidential declaration on strategic partnership that reaffirms to strengthen their economic relations.
Croatian President Ivo Josipovic and his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev, who is paying a two-day official visit in Zagreb, agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation in energy, infrastructure, agriculture and tourism.
Josipovic told a joint press conference after their meeting that we saw great opportunities for further cooperation in economic section.
Aliyev said that his talks with Josipovic focused on investments, adding Azerbaijan's most interesting areas included tourism, energy, industrial production, infrastructure development and high technologies.
Aliyev said his country exported crude oil to Croatia and it was also rich in natural gas resources.
On Monday Aliyev aslo met with Croatian Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic.
