The State Grid Shandong Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company has started the cross-Weihan Lake 110 kV double-circuit electricity line project, which is part of the rural grid upgrading plan of the central government.

A total of 60.92 million yuan will be spent on the 19.4-kilometer project, which is expected to be finished at the end of this year. The project will ensure residents in 80 villages of four townships in the Jining city of East China's Shandong province have a reliable power supply.
