China's growth powers world economy: Vice-Premier

BEIJING - Chinese Vice-Premier Zhang Gaoli said at a forum here on Sunday that China's development will provide more opportunities and stronger impetus for the world economy.

Zhang made the remarks at the China Development Forum, which was initiated in 2000 by the Development Research Center of the State Council, China's Cabinet. The forum serves as a significant platform for business and academic leaders to interact with China's top decision makers and economic planners.

This year's forum is scheduled from Saturday to Monday with the theme of "deepening China's reform and opening up for building a better-off society."
