Gold price opens higher in Hong Kong

HONG KONG, June 11 (Xinhua) -- The gold price in Hong Kong went up 60 HK dollars to open at 12,900 HK dollars per tael on Tuesday, according to the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society.

The price is equivalent to 1,395.43 U.S. dollars a troy ounce, up 6.49 dollars at the latest exchange rate of 1 U.S. dollar against 7.76 HK dollars.
