Top 10 of Forbes China 50 best CEOs


Forbes China released 2013 Forbes China Best CEOs on July 3, 2013. Hong Qi, CEO of China’s Minsheng Bank, topped the ranking. Dong Mingzhu, CEO of Gree Electric Appliances, ranked the third on the list. It is the first time that a woman has risen to the top three.

Forbes China has released China best-performing CEO list since 2005. The initial name of the list was China’s Best Boss. From 2012, Forbes China has begun to study Chinese companies that are listed overseas, not just A-share companies.

Among 2013 best CEOs’ companies, one of the companies is listed on the NASDAQ, 18 companies are listed on the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx), and the rest of 31 companies are listed on the Shanghai and the Shenzheng Stock Exchanges.

The ranking is based on a company’s financial performance, market value and the CEO’s annual incomes in three years. 9 from the 2012 list were selected again this year. CEO’s ranking promotion and demotion is correlated with circumstance of industry and changes of capital market。

The average annual salary of 2013 best CEOs’ is 6.55 million yuan, lower than 2012 best CEOs’ annual salary of 7.47 million yuan. Average age of 2013 best CEOs’ is 52, older than 42 of last year.

Most of the best CEOs are from information and technology, biomedicine, real estate and finance industries.
