Lang Ping names new Chinese national women's volleyball team

BEIJING, April 28 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese women's volleyball's new head coach Jenny Lang Ping on Sunday announced a 23-member roster through the sport's national governing body, leaving two veterans out.

Former national second spiker Ma Yunwen, 27, who held a place in the Chinese team in both the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games, was excluded from the squad alongside with the 25-year-old chief setter Wei Qiuyue.

Four youngsters, Liu Xiaotong, Li Jing, Zhu Ting and Yao Di, were recruited for the first time,

Beijing: Zeng Chunlei, Liu Xiaotong, Qiaoting

Tianjin: Yin Na, Yao Di, Wang Ning, Wang Qian

Liaoning: Wang Yimei, Zhang Xian, Yan Ni, Ding Xia

Shanghai: Zhang Lei, Yang Jie

Jiangsu: Hui Ruoqi, Li Hui

Zhejiang: Li Jing, Shan Danna

Fujian: Xu Yunli

Henan: Zhu Ting

PLA: Shen Jingsi, Yang Junjing, Liu Yanhan, Huang Liuyan
