Shakhtar Donetsk win Ukrainian Cup to clinch domestic double

KIEV, May 23 (Xinhua) -- Shakhtar Donetsk, this year's Ukrainian Premier League champion, beat Chernomorets Odessa 3-0 on Wednesday night to win the Ukrainian Cup trophy for the third year in a row.

It was Shakhtar's ninth Cup victory and their fifth domestic double.

Fernandinho's 40th minute strike in Kharkov stadium was followed by a 53rd minute goal from Alex Texeira. Brazilian forward Taison extended the lead to 3-0 in the 73rd minute.

Shakhtar secured the Ukrainian Premier League title in late April for the fourth year in a row.
