China secures women's doubles crown at BWF International Challenge

LINGSHUI, South China, Feb. 15 -- China has secured the women's doubles crown after its players won their respective semifinals at the Badminton World Federation (BWF) International Challenge in Lingshui, south China's Hainan Province on Saturday.

Luo Ying and Luo Yu booked the first ticket into the women's doubles final by beating fellow Chinese Du Peng and Huang Dongping 21-17 and 21-9, while the other final spot was taken by Chinese Qu Dongni and Xiong Mengjing who defeated Chiang Kai Hsin and Wu Fang Chien from Chinese Taipei.

In the men's singles, Chinese Xue Song failed to advance as he was beaten by Ng Ka Long from Hong Kong, China.

The total prize of the tournament is 50,000 US dollars.
