Der Besuch der alten Dame @ Poly Theater

The Chinese musical interpretation of Swiss dramatist Friedrich Dürrenmatt's masterpiece Der Besuch der alten Dame (The Visit of the Old Lady) hits Beijing's Poly Theater July 12 and 13. Lead by huangmei opera actress Wu Qiong, the performance incorporates jazz, modern dance and elements of huangmei, a regional form of drama from Anhui Province, to bring to life the story about greed and revenge, which is quite well known to Westerners.

Wu stars as famed billionaire Claire Zachanassian. In a modern twist, the innovated musical will infuse popular Internet slang to make it more interesting.

Long Shen Dao Summer Reggae Party@ 2 Kolegas

Chinese band Long Shen Dao, veteran performers of Chinese music festivals, will play at 2 Kolegas to put party-goers in the swing of summer.
