How to remove nail polish stains from clothes?

First, you have to test the color fastness on a hidden spot of the clothes. If the color does not fade, sponge over the stain with pure acetone or nail polish remover. Then, launder the clothes following your normal steps. However, remember not to use acetone on fabrics that contain triacetate or acetate (check care labels), because it can dissolve the cloth. For those clothes, you can use amyl acetate instead.
