"In Time with You," a TV drama produced by GTV, was the biggest winner at the 47th Golden Bell Awards held in Taipei Friday, sweeping seven awards out of its eight nominations.
The drama's leading players Bolin Chen and Ariel Lin won the Best Leading Actor and Best Leading Actress awards respectively, in addition to the awards for Best Television Series, Best Director, Best Script, Best Supporting Actress and Best Drama Marketing.
This is Lin's second Golden Bell trophy in the field. Chen, who entered the race as one of the top favorites, has become hugely popular among female audiences in Taiwan for his portrayal of a thoughtful and dedicated partner in a relationship of undeclared love with his best friend.
Meanwhile Peng Chia-chia and Hsu Hsiao-shun, who co-host the "Super Night Club" won the Award for Best Host in a Variety Program.
Golden Bell Award is an annual television production award in Taiwan founded in 1965.
