Shaohua Mountain is a sister mountain of Huashan Mountain, one of the five sacred mountains in China. Every year in May and June, hundreds of millions of butterflies gather in the forest of the park. Their concentrated appearance is called “butterfly snow” by local people, since they look like snow covering the land in the distance.
