Uzbekistan fashion designer Gulnara Karimova's show "Guli" held Wednesday at the Golden Hall of Beijing Hotel offered a new cultural style in modern fashion. The show is part of China Fashion Week, which attracted 51 designers from home and abroad and will last till Nov. 3.
In the new season, new elements play an important role in the works. The collection uses silk, velvet, knitting, and laces for high-waist trousers, tutu, floor-length skirts, and the ethnic Chapan (robe). In addition, the hand-embroidered collars in the Richelieu technique have been adopted in the show.
Guli-designed accessories include mini-clutches with intricate patterns, boots, leather and velvet bags, and jewelry pieces are also presented in the show.
Guli's chief designer Gulnara Karimova said she was willing to offer opportunities for talented people to realize their dreams, and she expected everyone to enjoy the Uzbekistan culture with an open heart.
