Christie's, Sotheby's go head-to-head

Christie’s and Sotheby’s. They are both gearing up for spring art sales with previews of masterpieces from the most impressive names in art history. A galaxy of the world’s most treasured art works are all out at once.

At Sotheby’s, leading the Impressionist and Modern selection is Amedeo Modigliani’s "L’Amazone", worth an estimated 20 to 30 million US dollars.

Also carrying a hefty price tag is Pablo Picasso’s sculpture "Sylvette," which is based on the artist’s 20-year-old neighbor.
