China wins gold at acrobatic gymnastics World Cup

SOFIA, May 11 (Xinhua) -- China won the men's group title at the acrobatic gymnastics World Cup here on Saturday.

The Chinese quartet of Zhou Yi, Wu Yeqiuyin, Tang Jian and Wang Lei overtook the teams of Belgium and Bulgaria to win.

Belgium captured the gold medals in the women's pairs and women's group events, while the mixed pairs and men's pairs went to the United States and Russia respectively.

Seventeen countries and regions participated in the competition held from May 9-11, one of two acrobatic gymnastics World Cup competitions for 2013. The other one took place on March 16-17 in Maia, Portugal.
