2013 is the year to commemorate the Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi. And the National Center for the Performing Arts has invited Placido Domingo, to stage Verdi’s "Nabucco" in Beijing. It’s the first time for the play, and the legendary tenor, to appear on China’s opera stage, and the debut has proven to be tremendously successful.

An authentic display of a most representative Verdi repertoire -- nothing could be more suitable for the occasion.

Although entering his seventies and picking up a baritone role for the first time, Domingo didn’t let the challenge hinder his performance.
