Fucha Danqing is a post-80s Man minority young man who grows up in traditional Hutong in Beijing. He has shown keen interest in painting since he studied in middle school. The obsession with art has led him on the way of painting.

He specializes in realistic oil painting, which requires solid foundation of sketch. Additionally, the relatively long creation circle of realistic oil painting and big investment has rendered it not so promising. Fucha created 280 pieces of paintings in 2012, but he just earned less than 80,000 yuan (Approximately 13,056 U.S. dollars) from selling the paintings.

Today’s Beijing has lost the solemn yet cordial feeling in Fucha’s eyes and those easy and cozy time in the hutongs in the memory have now been separated by security doors.

He then came up with the idea of recording those attachments with his painting brushes.
