China's State Council appoints new gov't officials

BEIJING, Oct. 29 (Xinhua) -- The State Council, China's Cabinet, announced Monday the appointment of a series of new government officials.

Huang Xiaowei and Yu Chunsheng were appointed Vice Ministers of Supervision, Dai Junliang was appointed Vice Minister of Civil Affairs, and Cai Qihua was appointed Vice Minister of Water Resources.

Dong Wei was appointed Vice Minister of Culture, Nie Chenxi was appointed Deputy Director of State Administration of Radio, Film and Television.

The State Council also appointed Yang Keqin Vice President of National School of Administration and Wang Zuji Vice Chairman of China Insurance Regulatory Commission.

Hu Baolin was appointed Deputy Director of the State Council Three Gorges Project Construction Committee Office.

Liu Yaming was appointed Director of Changjiang Water Resources Commission, replacing Cai Qihua.

The State Council appointed Mu Zhanying, Zhao Xiaoping, Liu Shunda and Li Bing Chairpersons of the Supervisory Board for Key Large State-owned Enterprises.

Wang Wenzhang was removed form the post of Vice Minister of Culture, and Zhang Haitao was removed his post of Deputy Director of State Administration of Radio, Film and Television.

Lei Jiafu was removed from the post of Deputy Director of the State Council Three Gorges Project Construction Committee Office. Wang Shoujun was removed from the post of Chairman of the Supervisory Board for Key Large State-owned Enterprises.
