Video: UK reacts positively to 18th CPC congress

(CNTV)

18:04, November 07, 2012

Impacted by the European debt crisis, and its own economic slow-down, the Brits have high hopes for beefing up cooperation with China. British media are generally offering a positive view on the 18th CPC National Congress.

The Financial Times has introduced CPC representatives across many industries. Sky News reported on China’s middle-class, which is expected to reach 600 million people by 2022. The BBC, meanwhile, focused on the changes of China’s rural areas.

Meanwhile, Martin Wolf, the associate editor and chief economics commentator at the Financial Times, said China has performed exceptionally well in the past four years, and despite its slow-down, China will continue to be an important powerhouse for the global economy. Most viewed commentaries
