China takes firm steps toward powerful nation

Chinese history in modern times fully proves that the road to great power status is not just a course of growth, but also a path of survival.

After more than 90 years of painstaking efforts, Chinese people from all ethnic groups have worked together to turn a poor and backward old China into a prosperous and powerful new China under the leadership of the Communist Party of China. The great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation now enjoys a bright outlook. Such a “common feeling” is valuable national memory, and vividly reflects China’s historical position.

The world’s attention is currently focused on the 18th CPC National Congress in China. It is curious to capture any changes in the Asian power’s policies, especially foreign policy.

“Major power” is the first keyword South Korean newspaper JoongAng Ilbo used when interpreting the report to the 18th CPC National Congress. El País, the highest-circulation daily newspaper in Spain, said on its website that over the past 10 years, China has not only gone down to history thanks to rapid economic growth, but also made impressive efforts to become a military powerhouse.
