Sun Chunlan appointed Party chief of Tianjin

Sun Chunlan is elected as member of the Political Bureau of the 18th Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee on Nov. 15, 2012. (Xinhua)

Sun Chunlan -- Member of Political Bureau of CPC Central Committee

BEIJING, Nov. 21 (Xinhua) -- Sun Chunlan has been appointed secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Tianjin Municipal Committee, replacing Zhang Gaoli, according to a decision made by the CPC Central Committee.

Zhang, born in November 1946, has been elected a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee.

Sun, born in May 1950, has been elected a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee.
