Liu Weiping re-elected governor of Gansu Province

LANZHOU, Jan. 29 (Xinhua) -- Liu Weiping was re-elected governor of northwest China's Gansu Province at the first session of the 12th provincial people's congress on Tuesday, the local legislature announced.

Born in May 1953, Liu is a native of Fujin, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province. He joined the Communist Party of China in 1974.

Liu was first elected governor of Gansu in January 2011.
