Xi calls for criticism, self-criticism

CPC politburo conducts criticism, self criticism

BEIJING, June 25 (Xinhua) -- Xi Jinping has urged members of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee to carry out criticism and self-criticism to boost unity and do work better.

Xi, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, made the comments in a meeting held from Saturday to Tuesday, on implementing the "eight-point" rules to fight bureaucratism and formalism.

Criticism and self-criticism based on good intention and facts is necessary inside the Political Bureau, Xi told the meeting, adding that all members should be honest and open with each other, sum up experiences and lessons and share thoughts and ideas in order to help comrades, promote solidarity and do work better.
