BEIJING, March 13 -- Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said on Thursday there is a level of flexibility when the government sets the growth target at around 7.5 percent this year, stressing rather the importance of enough jobs for the public.

Li made the remarks at a press conference after the conclusion of the annual legislative session.

"We are not preoccupied with GDP growth. The growth that we want is one that brings real benefits to the people," Li said.
