'Zheng He' ship leaves Indonesia for Brunei

The "Zheng He" oceangoing training ship of the Navy of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) which is on the "Harmonious Mission" round-the-world voyage successfully completed its friendly visit to Surabaya, Indonesia, on September 7,2012 and embarked on its round-the-world voyage and oceangoing practical training.

According to the exchange program of the Chinese Navy with the Indonesia and Brunei navies, 1 acting sub-lieutenant officer from the Indonesian Navy and 2 acting lieutenant officers from the Brunei Navy boarded the "Zheng He" oceangoing ship at the port of Surabaya on September 7, 2012. They are to participate in the sectional internship training on "Zheng He" ship's round-the-world voyage.

Up to now, a total of 16 cadets from navies of 9 countries, namely Pakistan, Bangladesh, Republic of Korea, India, the United States, Canada, France, Indonesia and Brunei, have joined the internship training on "Zheng He" ship. Two of them are female cadets.

Surabaya of Indonesia is the 13th stop of the "Zheng He" oceangoing training ship's round-the-world voyage. According to the plan, Brunei is the next stop of its visit.
