NDU holds 3rd 'Baiwang Forum'

Hosted by the Graduate School of the National Defense University (NDU) of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), the 3rd "Baiwang Forum" of the NDU was held on September 11, 2012 in Beijing. The forum took the opportunity of commemorating the 10th anniversary of the first global voyage of the PLA Navy to discuss in-depth the national security strategy and the issues relating to military operations.

Experts from 28 military academies and scientific research organizations, some officers and men on the first global voyage of the PLA Navy and all the graduate students of the NDU attended the forum.

Gen. Liu Yazhou, political commissar of the NDU, chaired the forum. Ding Yiping, deputy commander of the PLA Navy, attended the forum and gave a keynote report.

The forum selected a total of 80 excellent theses, including 10 first prizes, 20 second prizes, 30 third prizes and 20 special prizes.

The "Baiwang Forum" of the NDU is held every year. The first "Baiwang Forum" was held in the year 2010.
