China has never exported firebricks used for power units of naval ships to Russia

Yang Yujun, spokesman of the Ministry of National Defense (MND) of the People's Republic of China (PRC), said at the regular press conference of the MND held on September 27, 2012 that the rumor saying China exported firebricks used for power units of naval ships to Russia is entirely groundless.

Some media claimed that the malfunction in the aircraft carrier engine remanufactured for India by Russia was caused by the firebricks supplied by China.

In response, Yang Yujun expressed that after verification, the Chinese enterprises producing firebricks used for power units of naval ships have never exported such products to Russia.
