The "Huangshan" warship of the 13th Chinese escort taskforce under the Navy of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) arrived at the Jiddah Port of the Saudi Arabia on the morning of January 1, 2013, local time, for a five-day-long in-port replenishment and rest.

The "Huangshan" ship slowly sailed into the Jiddah Port at 08:00, local time. Chinese consul general to Jiddah led personnel from the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Jiddah and the Chinese-funded institutions to welcome the escort officers and men at the pier. They later boarded the warship for a visit in high spirits while Rear Admiral Li Xiaoyan, commanding officer of the 13th Chinese naval escort taskforce, briefed them on the work of the taskforce since it set sail.

During its berth, the "Huangshan" warship will receive equipment overhaul and logistic supply and its officers and men will be organized in batches for visits to learn local history, culture and customs. When the "Huangshan" ship is taking a rest, the "Hengyang" ship of the 13th Chinese naval escort taskforce is taking over the 533rd escort mission.
