12th Chinese naval escort taskforce returns home after visiting Vietnam

The 12th Chinese naval escort taskforce under the Navy of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) composed of the "Yiyang" guided missile frigate, the "Changzhou" guided missile frigate and the "Qiandao Lake" comprehensive supply ship wrapped up its friendly visit to Ho Chi Minh City of Vietnam and left for home at 11:10 on January 11, 2013, local time.

In recent years, the friendly relations between the Chinese and Vietnamese navies have been developing steadily as evidenced by frequent exchanges and reciprocal visits. This visit is the largest-ever one among all the exchanges and reciprocal visits between the two navies.
