
The training course for the backbones of the South Kivu Brigade, namely the "Contingent Training Capsule SKB", of the United Nations (UN) Stabilization Mission in Congo (K) was successfully held from January 8 to 13 of 2013, local time, at the "China Peninsula" barracks of the Chinese peacekeeping engineer detachment to Congo (K).
The 5-day-long training course contained a total of 24 training hours and included the subjects of situation of the Congo (K) area, the tasks, the human rights issue and the barrack defense. A total of 6 persons from the Chinese peacekeeping engineer detachment to Congo (K) attended the training.
The training further strengthened the backbone force of the Chinese peacekeeping engineer detachment to Congo (K), allowed each officer and man to further clearly understand his own responsibility and upgraded the capability of implementing their missions and tasks. Upon the completion of the training, the UN Stabilization Mission in Congo (K) issued the certificate of completion of the training to each of the officers and men.
At the training-completion ceremony, the UN-mission training officer responsible for the training expressed his gratitude to the Chinese peacekeeping engineer detachment to Congo (K) for the strong support.
