The entire army aviation units of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) will in this new year focus on the goals of being able to fight and winning battles, comprehensively launch actual combat training with the new-type armed helicopters and improve the overall information-system-based combat capability of the army aviation units, the reporters learned from the teleconference on military training of the entire army aviation of the PLA held by the Army Aviation Department of the General Staff Headquarters (GSH) of the PLA on January 18, 2013.
With the new "WZ-10" and "WZ-19" armed helicopters, command information system and the new-type airborne ammunitions successively equipped in troop units, the army aviation units have achieved rapid development in weaponry and equipment as well as the combat power. According to the briefing made by leaders of the Army Aviation Department of the GSH, the military training for the PLA army aviation troop units this year will focus on improving core military capabilities, forming the theoretical systems for combat of the army aviation troop units.
