Xu Qiliang investigates in troop units stationed in Luoyang and Qingdao

Xu Qiliang, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and vice chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC) of the CPC, recently made an investigation tour of the PLA University of Foreign Languages, a Red Army division under the Jinan Military Area Command (MAC) of the PLA, a base under the General Armaments Department (GAD) of the PLA and the North China Sea Fleet of the PLA Navy successively.

During his tour, Xu Qiliang stressed that it is imperative to implement the requirements of being able to fight and winning battles put forward by CMC Chairman Xi Jinping and unremittingly expand and deepen military struggle preparations, focusing on how to win battles.

He asked the troop units of the PLA to intensify target-oriented, confrontational and real-combat training and strive to forge elite troop units, so as to resolutely safeguard state sovereignty, security, territorial integrity if needed.

Wu Changde, deputy director of the General Political Department (GPD) of the PLA, Liu Xiaojiang, political commissar of the PLA Navy, and Zhao Zongqi, commander of the Jinan MAC of the PLA, joined the investigation tour.
