BEIJING, July 2 (ChinaMil) -- Zhao Keshi, member of the Central Military Commission (CMC) of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and director of the General Logistics Department (GLD) of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), met with Madeira, the visiting deputy director of the Logistics Department of the South African National Defense Forces (SANDF), and his party on the morning of July 1, 2013 in Beijing.

Zhao Keshi said that as important members of the BRICS, China and South Africa are large developing countries. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the two sides have been abiding by and implementing the principles of "friendship and mutual trust, equality and mutual benefit, cooperation and mutual learning, as well as common development", and have also been constantly improving and deepening the bilateral relations. It is hoped that the logistics departments of the Chinese and South African militaries will expand the channels of communications and scope of contacts, so as to make contributions to the development of the relations between the two countries and the two militaries.

Madeira said that through the short visit, he personally felt the unique charm of harmonious coexistence and coordinated development of China's ancient civilization and modern social progress. He wished that the Communist Party of China (CPC) would lead the Chinese people to the early realization of the "Chinese dream". He also believed that with the further development of the relations between the two countries, the two militaries and their logistics departments will surely constantly strengthen bilateral exchanges, writing together a new chapter of the common development.
