
BEIJING, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale jolted southwest China's Yunnan Province at 11:21 a.m. Tuesday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was monitored at about 24.7 degrees north latitude and 99.2 degrees east longitude, the center said in a statement.
