
BEIJING, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- A 4.0-magnitude earthquake hit the city of Artux in Kizilsu Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture of west China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region at 6:09 p.m. Beijing time on Friday, said the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter was monitored at 40.5 degrees north latitude and 77.4 degrees east longitude with a depth of 5 km, according to the CENC.
