Two dead, three trapped in factory collapse in SW China

KUNMING, Oct. 28 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed and three others are still trapped after a cement plant collapsed Saturday in southwest China's Yunnan Province, local authorities said on Sunday.

The accident occurred at about 3:30 p.m. on Saturday at a construction site in Pangwei Cement Plant in Midu County, the publicity department of Midu said.

Another seven slightly injured people have been sent to hospital for treatment.

Local work safety administration, public security department and fire department have dispatched relevant personnel to investigate the cause of the collapse.
