(People's Daily Online)

15:48, November 20, 2012

According to traditional Chinese culture, a person should have been married and had a good career at the age of 30. However, cancer ruthlessly took the life of 30-year-old female Chinese caricaturist Xiong Dun, a memorial farewell ceremony for whom was recently held at the Babaoshan Revolutionary Cemetery on Nov. 18, 2012. Her inspirational comic series "Piss off, Mr. Cancer" became a wake-up call to many young people who love her works. "From now on, be a healthy and happy person!" Xiong’s early death urged many young people to drop their unhealthy living habits.

Netizens touched by Xiong’s death

Xiao Wan, a white-collar in a famous foreign company in Chongqing, just spent her 30th birthday in early November. She has been working until 8 p.m. on almost every working day.
