Eight tigers and one lion: three Manchurian tigers, three Bangle white tigers, two south-China tigers and one African lion from Chengdu zoo were transferred to a temporary home, the Tiger and Lion Center on Feb 5, 2013. As reported, it is the first time that the zoo transfers tigers and lion at the same time. All Tigers and the lion were sedated for the two-hour transfer due to their aggressiveness. Tiger and Lion Center will open to tourism during the Spring Festival holiday.
