In China, ice skating has a long history. It dates back to Song Dynasty, and was very popular in Qing Dynasty. Ice skating was popular in the royal families in Qing Dynasty and the players' performance was somewhat like today's figure skating. During the Spring Festival holiday, Haidian Culture Commission "revived" the Qing Dynasty ice skating in a temple fair, showing the ancient culture and art of ice skating to people.
