E China road smash kills 7

JINAN, March 11 (Xinhua) -- Seven people died and 11 others were injured in a coach-truck collision in east China's Shandong Province on Sunday afternoon, government sources said on Monday.

The accident happened around 3 p.m. on a section of National Expressway 204 near Yantai City, when a coach carrying 20 passengers collided with a light truck, said sources with the municipal government of Yantai.

The injured passengers are receiving medical treatment and none is in life threatening condition.

An investigation into the cause of the accident is under way.
