Shanghai building fire kills four

SHANGHAI, April 13 (Xinhua) -- Four people were killed in an apartment building fire in Shanghai early on Saturday, local authorities said.

The fire broke out at about 4:20 a.m. and was put out at about 5 a.m..

One person was found dead when fire fighters cleared the scene. Three others died in hospital due to severe injuries.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
