NW China bus accident kills 5, injures 42

XINING, May 2 (Xinhua) -- Five people died and another 42 were injured in a bus accident that occurred Thursday morning in Golog Tibet Autonomous Prefecture in northwest China's Qinghai Province, local police said.

The accident occurred at 6:40 a.m., when a bus traveling from Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province, to Qinghai's Yushu Tibet Autonomous Prefecture overturned in Madoi County in Golog.

The cause of the accident is being investigated, an official from the provincial public security department said.
